Reminder: Bring a water bottle and sunscreen to class if you need it. We will be going outside. You may also bring sunglasses and a hat if you would like to wear them outside.

Benchmarks

Just a reminder, we will have our benchmarks on Volleyball today(and tomorrow for 2nd period B day). Bring your sweats in case it is cool because once the weather breaks we will be going outside for class. Also remember to bring your water bottle with you when we go outside.

Beginning Monday, December 10, all 9th grade PE classes will begin Family Life class. We will meet in the lecture hall all week for presentations from RAPPTAPP services.

Interims go home Thursday 10/11/12. Please be mindful about dressing out and participating the entire class time. It is beginning to get cool outside so please bring sweatpants or a jacket to class with you if you think you may need them.

Physical Fitness testing is over and we have work to do! Congratulations to Cleo Morris and Oscar Valle for achieving Presidential in all five categories of the physical fitness tests. Everyone has set their goals on what they want to achieve over the course of the semester so let’s work hard to do just that!

Welcome 9th graders to The James Monroe High School. I am looking forward to a fun-filled year full of various physical education activities. Please be prepared to dress out for class on Monday, September 10 as we will begin physical fitness testing. Uniforms are required and they are available to purchase during the first week of school from the physical education department. The cost of the uniform is $20.

Again, welcome to JM where our motto is, “All In!” Let’s all jump onboard and make this a successful year!

Next week we will begin our Family Life instruction. Classes will meet in the lecture hall and Sarah Middleton from RappTapp will be presenting the materials. Remember to be on time and be respectful to our guest.

Grade Time

As the year quickly is ending, I just want to remind you of the importance of dressing out daily and participating the entire class time. We will often be going outside so please bring a water bottle so that you can remain hydrated. Also, if you have asthma please have your inhaler with you while we are on the track.

Report cards go out Friday, April 20. Push yourself to do the best you can every day.

*Today we are taking a break from the PE portion of my class. We have a guest speaker from Rappahannock Council of Domestic Violence here to speak with us about teens and dating.

*On Friday, interims will be distributed. Some students grades have dropped significantly due to not participating during the activity time.

*We will be going outside now that the weather has changed. You may bring a water bottle to class if you would like.
