Author: Ryan-Schrader Shelly  //  Category: Information

LUES Library lessons for November 7, 2017- November 14, 2017   celebrate our students who have been working hard in the library all academic quarter. They  have worked hard, earned their library points, and were able to celebrate with a Breakout Edu session!

To celebrate, all classes  have been working with the power of Breakout Edu., which brings the 4 Cs alive! Students solved a variety of clues in the LUES library Breakout game that required critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication. The Breakout EDU is a unique collection of resettable locks, boxes, and items that  students used to play the library learning game, and solve problems found in the library setting.

Breakout EDU is an immersive learning game platform where players use teamwork and critical thinking to solve a series of challenging puzzles in order to open the locked boxes.

We have had some exciting and interesting challenges, but have been able to Breakout of the LUES Library!

This year the LUES library will be celebrating International DOT Day in the library September 22-29th. International Dot day is a celebration of the book The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds, and the values it teaches, including “Everyone is creative,” and “Everyone can encourage and empower others to achieve.” These messages are foundations to our IB Learner Profile.
