AP English Lesson Plans Week 1 2011-2012
30th August 2011
Welcome to the exciting start of a new school year! Last year, 100% of my AP students who took the national AP College Board English Literature and Composition Exam scored a 3 or better (out of a possible 5); nationally, only 53% achieved a 3 or better. 54% of my students got a 4 or 5. Therefore, I have high expectations for this incoming class and will do my utmost to help each student succeed. The coursework is extremely challenging, but students who work hard can earn college credit through that end-of-course AP Exam.
Each weekend I will be posting my lesson plans for the coming week on this blog. These plans include a schedule of tests/quizzes/papers/assignments. For a look at the plans for our first week of class, September 6-9, 2011, please click on the following link. View only the AP English column. A-Days and B-Days are shown separately by the day of the week: Lesson Plans 11-12 Sem 1 week 1
