AP scores are not being mailed this year
There is an important change in how you will get your AP scores. This July, your AP scores will only be available online. You will not get scores in the mail. To get your AP scores, you must sign up for a free College Board account at apscore.org. Go to this site for more information and instructions. All students who took AP exams will receive a paper/pencil copy of instructions via their AP teachers on Monday, May 13, 2013. Copies of these instructions can be picked up in guidance also.
Dual Enrollment Placement Test Date Change
The dates for the DE Placement tests have been changed. The April 17th and 18th dates for DE placement testing has been changed to May 21st and 22nd. Students who plan to take a DE class next year will need to take the placement test on the May dates instead of the April dates. Sign up in guidance to reserve a spot. See Mrs. Miller in the Counseling Center with questions.
AP exam fees are due by March 25th!!!
Any student planning to take an AP exam is required to pay for it before March 25th. The fee for each AP exam this year is $89.00. Money can be turned in to Mrs. Miller in the Counseling Center or Mr. Griffin in the library. Please make checks payable to JMHS or bring in the exact amount of cash. Separate checks are not needed for each exam. Students will be reimbursed for their exams by FCPS if they score a 3 or higher on the exam. See Mrs. Miller with questions.
ASVAB deadline is approaching! Sign up now.
Any JM Junior or Senior interested in taking the ASVAB should sign up in guidance NOW! The ASVAB will be given at JM on March 13, 2013 in the library at 8:00 A.M. Reserve your spot by signing up in the Counseling Center. Deadline to sign up is Friday March 1.
