The Final Stretch

The JMHS Family:

We have just concluded AP testing and we have commenced with our last opportunities for some students to pass their SOL tests for graduation. I am reminding all students to make sure they finish the year strong.

We have received some negative publicity in the press lately, and at some point in time in the near future, we will set the record straight. The James Monroe High School has reduced its’ drop-out rate significantly over the last two years, and contrary to some reports, our drop-our rate is 2%. More details to come later.

Students are asked to make sure they do not do anything that can jeopardize their status here at The JMHS. Please remember to come to school on time each and every day, and make sure you complete all of your assignments in class.

One last message to all potential graduates of the class of 2011: All students that walk across the stage will be “real” graduates. There will not be any students participating in the ceremony that has not completed all of the requirements for graduation. Seniors, this means make sure you have good attendance and do no attendance fail, make sure you pass your SOL tests, and make sure you clear your debts. Do not let any of these things stop you from getting your diploma.

We have four weeks of school remaining. Join us in ending this year on a high note!!!!
