Student Achievements!!!

I am proud to announce that we had 454 students earn either the Principal’s Honor Roll or Honor Roll for the first nine weeks. We also had 380 students that earned Perfect Attendance for the 1st nine weeks. Chic-Fil-A Free Sandwich Coupons will be placed in teacher mailboxes today to be distributed to these students during 1st period tomorrow. We will also randomly select one student from each grade level as the winner of the $50.00 gift card to Spotsylvania Town Center.

 Please congratulate all of our students for their achievement during the 1st Nine Weeks.

I would also like to congratulate our Varsity Field Hockey Team for an excellent season. Our Tough city Girls finished the season as the Battlefield District, Battlefield District Tournament, and Region I Champions. We finished the season as the State Runner-Up as well. Great job ladies!!!!

Please come out to our Parent-Teacher Conferences tonight. We hope that many parents take advantage of this opportunity to communicate with our teachers.

Also please travel to Bruton High School tomorrow to support our Varsiy Football Team in the Reion I semi-finals. Kick-off time is at 7:00 P.M.

Report Cards and Exciting News

JMHS Family:

I wanted to take this time to remind everyone that Report Cards will be distributed on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 2:40 P.M. Parents please take the time to review your student’s grades and progress. Please pay special attention to the comments posted by your student’s teachers.

I would also like to congratulate our Fine and Performing Arts Department for an outstanding week of performances. We began with our Award Winning Chorus, followed by the Orchestra who put on a spectacular theme oriented show, our band had a strong performance on Wednesday, and our Drama Department rounded out the week. Members of our Orchestra and Drama Departments also qualified for Regionals this week. We also have one student that will participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Way to go Jackets!!!!

The James Monroe High School is Where Champions Reign!!!! The proof is that our Field Hockey Team has captured the Region I Championship and our Football Team is once again the Battlefield District Champions!!!!
