MYP Personal Project Student Seminars
The seminars are interactive, targeted scaffolds to foster the skills and communicate information for scholars to stay on track for successful completion. It is highly encouraged that scholars make every effort to attend the six (6) seminars from 3-4:30pm; however, in the event that they cannot attend, information will be uploaded below each description following the seminar. It will be the scholar’s responsibility to obtain missed information and consult with his/her supervisor or other resources if they have any questions or concerns.
Reflection: Looking Into the Mirror That Is the Personal Project – Tuesday, March 12, 2019
This may very easily be the most important seminar, friends! In this session, we will discuss all things REFLECTION. You’ve made it this far and have put in the 25 necessary hours to complete your project. We have a few questions for you: How was it? Did you learn anything? Something about a specific topic? Something about yourself? What did you struggle with? What did you excel at? These questions and more will be the focus of our discussion as you share your responses with peers and prepare to include them in the last but not least part of your project– the reflective report. Keep in mind that your report will reference all of the sources you used in researching and completing your project. The importance of citing sources cannot be overlooked and is necessary for your personal project submission. We will pull all of your sources together and get them cited step-by-step into an impressive bibliography for your report….and maybe a little celebration for all of your hard work this year!
