The Fredericksburg City Public School’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction is designed to work in conjunction with all building level administrators and teachers to provide a quality effective schools educational program for our students. Critical issues of learning and teaching in multi-cultural classroom settings are addressed at the local and state levels to continually enhance the educational quality of our programs. Emphasis is placed on preparing teachers to be successful in the classroom by providing excellent professional development programs to:

1. differentiate instructional techniques,
2. expand classroom management techniques,
3. develop leadership skills,
4. guide purchases for instructional materials for classroom use, and
