PUBLIC NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF AN UNSOLICITED PPEA PROPOSAL FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF RENOVATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL WALKER-GRANT SCHOOL

The Fredericksburg City School Board has received and accepted for publication and conceptual phase consideration, an unsolicited proposal from FirstChoice Public-Private Partners LLC under the provisions of The Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002 (PPEA) and the Fredericksburg City School Board’s PPEA Policy and Guidelines. The proposal is for the design and construction of renovations to the Original Walker-Grant School to accommodate the current Head Start early childhood education program, the Early Childhood Special Education program, and to consolidate the School Board administrative functions into one facility.
The School Board intends to evaluate the unsolicited proposal and may negotiate an interim comprehensive agreement with FirstChoice Public-Private Partners based on the proposal. The School Board will receive for simultaneous consideration any competing proposals that comply with the PPEA and the PPEA guidelines adopted by the School Board. Competing proposals for this project must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. local time on Monday, July 24, 2015 at the Fredericksburg City Public Schools Administrative Office, 817 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA. This is an actual and not a postmark deadline.
